Beginning therapy can be a daunting prospect, however we work with whatever you choose to bring and at your desired pace.
There could be lots of reasons why you may benefit from therapy; a recent loss, past trauma, or perhaps you just want to understand yourself a little better. Whatever it is, my role is to give you the space you need. This means that I will endeavour to offer you an environment that is non-judgmental and compassionate, while working alongside you to unpack whatever it is that is troubling you.
I don’t believe that there is a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach when it comes to therapy and that is why I am trained integratively. Simply put, I draw on a variety of therapeutic methods that help me understand you and your circumstances.
Coming from a mixed race background, I am sensitive to diversity and difference. That said, I am open to having my own biases challenged as part of my own personal process.
I have worked for several services with a range of presenting issues including: identity, anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, childhood trauma, bereavement, suicidal ideation, borderline personality disorders and more.
I trained at The Minster Centre and hold an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling. I am currently completing an MA, also at The Minster Centre, and I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.
