Elizabeth Kunz

MSc, MBACP
Elizabeth Kunz - Psychodynamic Psychotherapist

My name is Elizabeth and I am a qualified, BACP registered adult psychodynamic psychotherapist. I work one to one, both in person and online and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework.

I believe that therapy can help us to live with ourselves and those around us better. Having a space to reflect on behaviours and relational patterns both past and present can bring into awareness often deep-seated conflicts that may be causing pain, or inhibiting your interactions with others. Thinking together about these feelings in a therapeutic setting can allow you to process difficult emotions and challenge previously held ideas that may be holding you back in life and contributing to a feeling of stuckness or overwhelm.

By maintaining curiosity and an open-mind I aim to help strengthen your sense of self and expand the possibilities for change. I respect the uniqueness of each client and provide a non-judgemental approach that is empathic and sensitive to your needs. I work with a diverse group of clients with different backgrounds, ethnicities, nationalities, beliefs, genders, and sexual orientations, whose areas of concern include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, difficulty making life choices, sexuality, identity issues, discrimination, traumas, grief and loneliness.

I trained at Birkbeck, University of London where I attained a Cert.He in Psychodynamic Counselling, and an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP accredited).

Next steps

Beginning therapy can be a daunting prospect and with that in mind I offer a free 15 minute phone call prior to our initial consultation to answer any questions you may have.

The initial consultation will typically cover two appointments and give us an opportunity to examine what has brought you to therapy and to get a sense of how our sessions might feel. From this we can decide whether we would like to work together, either in a time-limited or longer-term setting.

Rates

My fee for each 50 minute session is £75
