Julia Hughes

BSc Psychology, Adv. Dip. Humanistic Integrative Counselling, MBACP
Julia Hughes - Therapist & Counsellor

My name is Julia and I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and have an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative counselling.

Being an integrative counsellor means I have trained in a number of approaches including person centred, psychodynamic and CBT. I can draw on different tools and approaches depending on the needs and presenting issue of a client.

I offer a warm, calm space where together we can explore and try to make sense of what has brought you to counselling. As a humanistic counsellor I believe that we all have the capacity for transformation and that we hold our own answers – therapy offers a space for our authentic self to emerge.

Difficulties we are experiencing now can often have their roots in the past. I think that therapy should be a place where previous experiences can be explored and understood, as well as focusing on what is affecting you in the here and now.
