Lisa Vann - Therapist & Counsellor

Hi, my name is Lisa and I am a fully qualified Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor. I am also a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their ethical codes for good practice.

My flexible and relational approach using psychodynamic, person centred and cognitive behavioural therapy, allows me to focus on the whole person exploring thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It also enables me to adapt and attune different techniques solely to you as an individual.

So, if you have been going through life wondering why you keep continuing the same patterns of behaviour, or you have an awareness that some imbalance exists within you that you do not quite understand; or you may have difficulty coping with past or present traumas that are making daily life and relationships a struggle for you. Then taking the first steps to seek therapy which may be initially daunting but hopefully can be hugely reparative within the supportive, confidential and non-judgmental therapeutic space that I can provide. Together we can explore and reflect on any issues that you have to give you a new awareness and help you to understand yourself better. The aim of this therapy is to promote healing, growth and create a healthier balance and functioning of your mental, emotional and physical self.

I have experience working with many issues including abuse, anxiety, autism, bereavement, cultural issues, depression, low self-esteem, obsessions/compulsions, relationship issues, sexuality, stress, suicidal thoughts, trauma.
