Oliver Dicker - Therapist & Counsellor

Hi, I’m Oliver and I’m a counsellor and psychotherapist working both face-to-face and online.

Clients often say that I have a kind and calming presence. I will listen to you without judgement and be there alongside you while you move through the issues you are currently contending with.

You might be surprised how much things can change just from sharing them with another. Hopefully, through our conversations, you will also gain more self-understanding and self-acceptance and come to navigate your world with more ease and more joy.

My initial training was in integrative counselling and psychotherapy. This means that I can draw on a number of different ways of working according to what best fits your needs.

If desired, we might integrate somatic (body-focussed) approaches into our sessions for example – as research shows that focussing on the body and the breath can help with nervous system regulation and emotional balance in a way that traditional talking therapy alone might not.

I work with a wide range of concerns, including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, grief, issues in relationships, ADHD, low self-esteem, people-pleasing, anger, loneliness, spirituality and integrating experiences with non-ordinary states of consciousness.

My experience comes from the years I’ve spent in bereavement services, general adult therapy services and private practice.

Contact

I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone call. This is to hear a bit about what brings you to therapy, so you can ask any questions you might have and to see if we are a good fit to work together.

Our initial session would be at a reduced rate of £35 for 50 minutes. If you wanted to continue after that then my usual fee is £70. I also have some concessionary spaces – so do reach out, even if cost is a concern.

Rates

If you’re interested in a chat or ready to schedule an initial session, I look forward to hearing from you at [email protected]
