Wendy Levy

MSc, MBACP
Wendy Levy - Therapist & Coach

I am a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor offering a one to one counselling service for adults. This can be short or long term depending on your needs and wishes. I am a fully insured and supervised member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and as such work within their Ethical Framework.

You may have something specific that brings you to counselling, or sometimes there could be a general feeling of unhappiness in your life, and it’s difficult to pinpoint what it is. You may find it a struggle to find the words to talk about issues that are concerning you. I can offer you a safe space where together, and at your pace, we can explore your thoughts and feelings to make sense of your experiences.

Counselling can be difficult, and it may mean facing challenging issues, but this is part of a process to gaining a greater awareness of who you are. This can allow you to accept and manage feelings better instead of repressing or being overwhelmed by them. I will work with you through this process in a supportive and non-judgemental way. I believe it’s important to have the opportunity to tell your story where you are acknowledged and understood; where you can be curious and learn about yourself at a much deeper level.

I have experience working with a diverse client base on various issues, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship problems, life transitions, sexuality and sexual identity, PTSD, abuse, suicidal ideation and self-harm.

I trained at Birkbeck, University of London and have an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am an advocate for continuing professional development and training.

I am a Registered Member of the BACP.
